Angels and Alcohol is the fifteenth studio album by Alan Jackson, released on July 17, 2015 through Alan's Country Records and EMI Nashville. Produced by longtime collaborator Keith Stegall, it holds to the neotraditional country sound Jackson built his career on, leaning on fiddle, steel guitar, and plain-spoken writing. Jackson wrote seven of its ten songs himself, including the title track and the barroom tribute 'Jim and Jack and Hank,' with three outside cuts filling out the record. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, his fourteenth chart-topper there, and reached number five on the all-genre Billboard 200. It sold about 46,000 copies in its first week and roughly 135,500 by December 2015.
