Seventeen Days gave 3 Doors Down their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, and it stays fully band-written, led by the single "Let Me Go." Produced by Johnny K, it leans a touch heavier than its predecessors, with "Landing in London" pairing the band with Bob Seger. It was the final album recorded with touring drummer Daniel Adair before he joined Nickelback.
The third 3 Doors Down album, released February 8, 2005 with Johnny K producing, and the first to enter the Billboard 200 at number one. All twelve tracks are credited to Brad Arnold, Matt Roberts, Todd Harrell and Chris Henderson together, with no outside writer anywhere on it. Bob Seger sings the duet on 'Landing in London,' and Nick Hoffman adds banjo and violin to 'Father's Son.' It is the only 3 Doors Down studio album with Daniel Adair on drums; he left later that year to join Nickelback. 'Let Me Go' was the one track to reach the Hot 100, peaking at number 14.
