Sundown Heaven Town continued Tim McGraw's Big Machine run and gave him one co-write, 'Keep On Truckin',' shared with Blair Daly and the Warren Brothers. The album's biggest moments came from others: the No. 1 'Shotgun Rider' and the Faith Hill duet 'Meanwhile Back at Mama's,' plus a guest turn from Catherine Dunn on 'Diamond Rings and Old Barstools.' Byron Gallimore and McGraw produced. It is another record where the hits are chosen, not written.
Big Machine released the thirteenth album in September 2014, recorded at Blackbird and Ocean Way in Nashville with Byron Gallimore and McGraw producing. 'Shotgun Rider' went to number one on Country Airplay, followed by 'Meanwhile Back at Mama's,' a duet with Faith Hill, at number 2 and 'Diamond Rings and Old Barstools' at number 3. The 'Shotgun Rider' here is a different song from the one of the same name on 2007's Let It Go. McGraw co-wrote one track, 'Keep On Truckin',' and left the other twelve to outside writers.
