No Need to Argue is the second studio album by The Cranberries, released in October 1994 and the band's commercial peak. Reuniting with producer Stephen Street, the band toughened their sound while keeping the melodic core of their debut, opening with the hit 'Ode to My Family' and the war-protest anthem 'Zombie,' the only single O'Riordan wrote alone. The album reached number one in several countries and sold millions worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling records by an Irish act. O'Riordan again wrote every lyric, with the music split between her and Noel Hogan and a larger run of songs credited to her alone than on the debut. It cemented her as one of the most distinctive voices in 1990s rock.
