In the End was finished from O'Riordan's last recordings, but the credits follow the band's lifelong pattern: she wrote every lyric, with the music split between her and Noel Hogan and several songs, including 'Lost,' 'Wake Me When It's Over,' 'Catch Me If You Can,' and 'Got It,' credited to her alone. The only outside hand is Dan Brodbeck, who co-wrote the music for 'Summer Song' with O'Riordan.
In the End is the eighth and final studio album by The Cranberries, released in April 2019, more than a year after Dolores O'Riordan's death in January 2018. The band completed the record using vocals and demos O'Riordan had recorded before she died, with producer Stephen Street and the surviving members finishing the music. Lead single 'All Over Now' and 'Wake Me When It's Over' carried the album, which drew warm reviews as a fitting farewell and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album. O'Riordan wrote all the lyrics, with the music split between her and Noel Hogan and several songs credited to her alone. It closed the band's career on O'Riordan's own words.
