Alejandro sits on both sides of the credits almost everywhere. He has a writing credit on 16 of the 18 tracks, missing only the Frankie Ruiz cover 'Tú con Él' and the Laura Pausini duet 'Se Fue', and he produces 16 as well under his own alias El Zorro, stepping back on 'Se Fue' and 'Amar de Nuevo'. Two names carry nearly as much of it. Kenobi, credited legally as Jorge E. Pizarro, writes on 14 tracks and produces 12, while Dímelo Ninow, credited as Nino Segarra Jr., produces 15 and writes on 13. The famous outside producers each get exactly one track, Pharrell Williams on 'Committed', Tainy on '2:12 AM', Timbaland on 'SexxxMachine', layered over that same in-house core rather than replacing it. The salsa material is where the authorship opens up. Rauw Alejandro built his fifth album around a character named after his own first and middle names, a Puerto Rican who moves to New York and finds himself inside the city's salsa history. The title borrows from Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe's 1969 record and from the Sicilian mafia phrase, a double meaning he ties to a great-grandfather from Palermo. Over 18 tracks he crosses salsa, reggaeton, bolero and merengue, with a live band on the salsa cuts and guests including Bad Bunny, Pharrell Williams, Romeo Santos, Feid and Laura Pausini. It entered the Billboard 200 at number six and topped both Top Latin Albums and Latin Rhythm Albums.
