Warrior is the second studio album by Kesha, released in November 2012 on RCA Records / Kemosabe Records and produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin. The album continued the electropop party-anthem formula of Animal while pushing toward a heavier rock direction, reflecting Kesha's stated admiration for classic rock acts and her desire to be taken seriously as a musician beyond her DJ-friendly club hits. 'Die Young' became her second number-one single on the Hot 100, while 'C'Mon' and 'Blow' further demonstrated her instinct for pop hooks wrapped in trashy excess. Though its rock ambitions were sometimes undercut by slick radio production, Warrior solidified Kesha's commercial position and revealed an artist straining against the constraints of her pop-star image. The album sold over one million copies and set the stage for the extended legal battle with Dr. Luke that would define the next chapter of her career.
