Period is the sixth studio album by Kesha, released July 4, 2025, on her own Kesha Records imprint. The album title functions as a punctuation mark, a defiant full stop on the years of legal battles that defined much of the preceding decade, and its eleven tracks largely deliver on that declaration. Working with a rotating cast of producers including Stuart Crichton, Zhone, Hudson Mohawke, Nova Wav, and Pink Slip, Kesha moves through pop, disco, house, country-pop, and Europop across the record. The opener 'FREEDOM.' sets an anthemic tone with Jonathan Wilson and Drew Erickson's sparse, organic production, while 'GLOW' leans into Hudson Mohawke's dense euphoric sound. Two collaborations with her mother Pebe Sebert, 'LOVE FOREVER' and 'TOO HARD', ground the album's celebratory energy in something more personal. Period received generally favorable reviews (Metacritic: 71/100) and was widely read as an unambiguous reclamation of joy and identity.
