Noel Songwriting Credits by Josh Groban

Noel is a covers and interpretation album: twelve of its thirteen tracks are Christmas standards or public-domain carols predating the 20th century, credited across the tracklist to century-old composers like Franz Xaver Gruber, Franz Schubert, Cesar Franck and John Francis Wade, or left as Traditional where no single author survives history. Only "Thankful," co-written by Carole Bayer Sager, David Foster and Richard Page, is a wholly original composition. David Foster produced and arranged every track uniformly, so the album's identity comes from its orchestrations and Groban's voice rather than new songwriting, and guest turns from Faith Hill, Brian McKnight, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Andy McKee sit inside that same interpretive frame.
