The album marked a deliberate shift toward electronic and EDM-influenced production while maintaining the anthemic arena rock sound of Night Visions. Both "Believer" and "Thunder" peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 simultaneously, and "Whatever It Takes" reached number 12.
