Data Insight

The first volume was one writer working alone; this one is a room. Jesús Ortíz Paz still has his name on eleven of the sixteen songs, but Diego Millán of Calle 24 co-writes six, Angel Ureta three, and the highest-charting track, "Descansando", is registered to a writer outside the band entirely. Production moves outward as well, with Rancho Humilde founder Jimmy Humilde taking a credit alongside Ortíz Paz where the debut kept the board inside the group. Four guest acts turn up across the album against none on the first volume, and the writer registrations name people the band would keep working with for years.

The sequel to Fuerza Regida's debut landed in 2021 with sixteen tracks and a much longer list of names on the writing credits. Rancho Humilde founder Jimmy Humilde shares production with Jesús Ortíz Paz, and Diego Millán of Calle 24 co-writes across the record after the two acts recorded "Qué Está Pasando" together. Lenin Ramírez, Luis R Conriquez, Calle 24 and Grupo Diez 4tro all appear as guests. The album reached number two on Billboard's Regional Mexican Albums chart and number 14 on Top Latin Albums.

Frequently Asked Questions Del Barrio Hasta Aquí, Vol. 2

Who produced Del Barrio Hasta Aquí, Vol. 2?
Genius credits the album to Jesús Ortíz Paz, working under his JOP tag, and Jimmy Humilde, who founded the Rancho Humilde label.
Which artists guest on the album?
Lenin Ramírez on "El Blontezón", Luis R Conriquez and Calle 24 on "Los Miré Con Talento (Versión Estudio)", Grupo Diez 4tro on "Sangre de Colima", and Calle 24 again on "Qué Está Pasando".
Which songs from the album charted?
"Descansando" reached number 20 on Hot Latin Songs, "Los Miré Con Talento" number 24, and "Qué Está Pasando" number 36.
Who wrote "Qué Está Pasando"?
Diego Millán, lead vocalist of Calle 24, whose registration reads Diego Armando Millán Medrano. He has said he was a fan of Fuerza Regida before the two acts recorded together.
How does this album differ from the first Del Barrio Hasta Aquí?
The debut was written almost entirely by Jesús Ortíz Paz and produced inside the band. The sequel brings outside co-writers onto most tracks, adds Jimmy Humilde as a producer, and carries four guest acts across sixteen songs.
Is this the same band lineup as the first volume?
Yes. Jesús Ortíz Paz on lead vocals, Samuel Jáimez on backing vocals and 12-string guitar, Khrystian Ramos on rhythm guitar and José "Pelón" García on sousaphone. Tololoche player Moisés López joined in 2022, after this album.
Data note: Producer credits on every track come from Genius alone. MusicBrainz carries no artist or work relationships for any recording on this release and Discogs has no entry for it, so there is nothing to check the production against. Writer credits are corroborated by Musixmatch publisher registrations on all sixteen tracks, except "El Blontezón", where Musixmatch names Abraham Aragon and Genius carries no writer at all. Genius and Musixmatch disagree on "Por el 5": Genius credits JOP, Musixmatch credits Jesús Rodríguez Jr. On "Descansando" Genius credits El Chachito and the Musixmatch registration reads Alexis Armando Fierro Roman. No published registration was found for the stage names Santiago Castillo on "Gente del Flaco" or Jesus Rodriguez on "El Drogas" beyond the Musixmatch form Jesús Rodríguez Jr., so those writers stay under lyricists.
