By the Numbers
Authorship on Adicto is a straight four-way band split. Eight of the eleven tracks carry the same four writers, Jesús Ortíz Paz, Samuel Jáimez, Khrystian Ramos and José García, listed in a different order each time, and production goes to Fuerza Regida as a unit rather than to any one member. The three exceptions are the collaborations. 'Tiacentral' brings in five Grupo Codiciado writers and 'Tiempo de Brillar' brings in all four members of Herencia de Patrones, both guest acts sharing the producer credit on their own track. Natanael Cano is the only guest who joins the band's writing block instead of replacing it, taking a fifth co-write on 'Ando Contento' next to all four members.
Adicto is the second studio album by Fuerza Regida, released on April 10, 2020 through Rancho Humilde and Lumbre Music. It was the band's first record with guests on it. Grupo Codiciado, Natanael Cano and Herencia de Patrones each take a track, and Jesús Ortíz Paz told Billboard the group had changed everything from the instruments to the collaborations, using a piano to open the title song. Adicto reached number 4 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart and number 1 on Regional Mexican Albums.
