Data Insight

Feid writes on fourteen of the fifteen tracks and Sky Rompiendo, legally Alejandro Ramírez Suárez, is on thirteen of them. Two names that never reach the cover carry nearly as much weight: Esteban Higuita Estrada, who records as Wain, writes on eleven tracks and mixed fourteen of the fifteen, and Andrés David Restrepo Echavarría, who records as Rolo, writes on nine and ran the recording room. The one song Feid did not write is the opening "Intro", a Spanish rendition of "Happy Birthday to You" credited to Mildred J. Hill and Patty Hill. Writing rooms stay small for a record this size: nine names on "XQ Te Pones Así" is the widest, while "Quemando Calorías" and "Normal" carry two apiece.

Feid was three months out from releasing this album when the finished files leaked online, so he pushed the release forward and named the record after the theft. The title translates to Happy Birthday Ferxxo, We Pirated Your Album, and the cover his sister Manuela Villada designed shows a WhatsApp thread about the leak. Fifteen tracks run 38:40, with Sky Rompiendo producing most of them, Yandel singing on "XQ Te Pones Así" and Sky taking a featured spot on "Quemando Calorías". It reached number 2 in Spain and number 8 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums, Feid's highest placing on that chart.

Frequently Asked Questions Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos el Álbum

Why is the album called Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos el Álbum?
The finished record leaked before its planned December release. Feid decided to put it out anyway and named it after what had happened, a title that translates to Happy Birthday Ferxxo, We Pirated Your Album. He had released the title track on his thirtieth birthday a few weeks earlier. The songs were mixed and mastered in under a day so the release could go ahead.
Who produced Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos el Álbum?
Sky Rompiendo produced eleven of the fifteen tracks, seven of them alongside Jowan. Pardo joined the pair on "XQ Te Pones Así" and "Lady Mi Amor", Federico Vindver and Rio Root handled "Prohibidox", Rolo and Wain built the "Intro", and Feid co-produced the closer "La Buena Fai".
Who wrote the songs?
Feid, under his legal name Salomón Villada Hoyos, has a writing credit on every track except the "Intro". Alejandro Ramírez Suárez, who records as Sky Rompiendo, writes on thirteen, Esteban Higuita Estrada on eleven and Andrés David Restrepo Echavarría on nine. Yandel takes a writing credit on the song he sings, "XQ Te Pones Así".
How did the album chart?
It reached number 2 on the Spanish albums chart and number 8 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums, along with number 5 on Latin Rhythm Albums, number 12 on Heatseekers Albums and number 188 on the Billboard 200. Every song on it except the "Intro" and "La Buena Fai" entered Billboard's Colombia Songs chart.
Who guests on the album?
Two people. Yandel sings on "XQ Te Pones Así" and Sky Rompiendo, otherwise the album's main producer, takes a featured credit on "Quemando Calorías".
Data note: Wikipedia's track table credits writers by legal name while Genius credits the same people by stage name, and the two lists match name for name on thirteen tracks, so the pairings are read straight off that overlap: Wain is Esteban Higuita Estrada, Rolo is Andrés David Restrepo Echavarría, Jowan is Johan Esteban Espinosa Cuervo, GRAUX is Sébastien Julien Alfred, MusikMan is Daniel Taborda and Rios is Andrés Jael Correa. Genius lists one extra writer on "X20X", Clark MRD, whose legal name no source opened here publishes, so that name appears in lyricists and not in composers. Genius also lists Jowan, Rolo, Feid and ICON as additional producers on "Normal", where Wikipedia's credit table names Sky alone; the per-track producer lists here follow Wikipedia's table. Mixing and recording engineer credits come from the label credit block on each Genius song page, which carries no mixing credit for the "Intro".
