Every track on Four Seasons of Love carries the same three-way writing credit: Donna Summer, Giorgio Moroder, and Pete Bellotte, the trio behind her mid-1970s Casablanca run. Moroder and Bellotte also produced the whole album, with Moroder handling the mix himself. The composer credits use their legal names, LaDonna Adrian Gaines and Giovanni Giorgio Moroder, since Pete Bellotte's birth name, Peter John Bellotte, is close enough to his working name that it is used as both lyricist and composer credit. Four Seasons of Love is the fourth studio album by Donna Summer, released October 11, 1976 on Casablanca Records. It is her first concept album, tracing a single love affair through the four seasons of the year across five extended tracks. Recorded at Musicland Studios in Munich with Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte, the album pairs Moroder's synthesizer-driven Eurodisco production with Thor Baldursson's string and horn arrangements. The original LP shipped with a pull-out 1977 calendar of seasonal photos of Summer, extending the concept into the packaging itself. It reached number 29 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold in the US.
