Fortune arrived fifteen months after F.A.M.E. and debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, the same week it also topped charts in the UK, Netherlands, and New Zealand. Produced by The Underdogs, Polow da Don, Benny Benassi, William Orbit, Danja, and The Runners, and mixed by Serban Ghenea, Jaycen Joshua, and Manny Marroquin, the album produced two Hot 100 top-10 singles: "Turn Up the Music" and "Don't Wake Me Up" both peaked at #10. Fortune received a Grammy nomination for Best Urban Contemporary Album at the 55th Grammy Awards in 2013 and achieved RIAA Platinum certification.
Fortune is Chris Brown's fifth studio album, released July 3, 2012, his first on RCA Records after Jive was disbanded. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 138,000 copies in its first week. The album features the hit singles 'Don't Wake Me Up,' which reached number ten on the Hot 100, and 'Till I Die' featuring Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa. Fortune marked Brown's continued commercial dominance in the post-F.A.M.E. era while refining his dance-pop R&B sound.
