By the Numbers
We Are Not Alone is the band's breakthrough, and Benjamin Burnley still writes the lyrics and most of the music with the band. The notable outside hand is Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins, who shares writing credit on "Follow," "Forget It," and "Rain." Burnley remains the author at the center, but those three Corgan co-writes are the most significant outside contributions in the catalog.
The second studio album by Breaking Benjamin, released on July 27, 2004 through Hollywood Records. Produced by David Bendeth, it was the album that brought the band mainstream rock radio success with "So Cold" and "Forget It." Tracks 3 ("Follow"), 6 ("Forget It"), and 11 ("Rain") feature co-writing credits for Billy Corgan of the Smashing Pumpkins; all other tracks are credited to Benjamin Burnley and the full band lineup of Burnley, Aaron Fink, Mark James Klepaski, and Jeremy Hummel.
