By the Numbers
Dear Agony keeps Benjamin Burnley at the center, writing most tracks alone, while guitarist Jasen Rauch co-writes four songs including the single "I Will Not Bow." Recorded with the classic lineup that Burnley would dismiss a year later, it debuted at No. 4 and went Platinum. Burnley's authorship stays dominant, with Rauch the one recurring co-writer ahead of his later full membership.
The fourth studio album by Breaking Benjamin, released on September 29, 2009 through Hollywood Records. Produced by David Bendeth, it debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and went platinum, producing the hit "I Will Not Bow." Five of the 11 tracks are co-written with guitarist Jasen Rauch, who contributed as a session collaborator before joining the reformed lineup in 2014. The remaining six tracks are credited solely to Benjamin Burnley. The album was recorded with the classic lineup of Burnley, Aaron Fink, Mark James Klepaski, and Chad Szeliga, who were all subsequently dismissed by Burnley in 2010.
