Slipknot

Slipknot is an American heavy metal band formed in Des Moines, Iowa in 1995, known for their aggressive sound, elaborate masks and costumes, and intense live performances. The nine-piece lineup — one of the largest in mainstream heavy metal — combines guitars, bass, drums, DJ turntables, samples, and percussion into a dense, abrasive sonic attack that helped define the nu-metal and alternative metal movements of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Over seven studio albums, the band has built one of the most dedicated fanbases in heavy metal, consistently delivering critically recognized and commercially successful records while maintaining total creative independence.
