By the Numbers
On Multiverse, Wiz Khalifa wrote his own raps while building the record from his home studio in Encino. Production came from Girl Talk, Scott Storch, TM88, Don Cannon, Hitmaka, Sledgren and ID Labs, pulling in drill, R&B, pop and 80s-synth textures. Girl Talk appears across multiple tracks, with additional features from THEY. and Fridayy. Khalifa framed the album around themes of love, fatherhood and self.
Wiz Khalifa's seventh studio album, released July 29, 2022, through Taylor Gang Entertainment and Asylum Records. Recorded entirely in his home studio in Encino, California, the album has a notably laid-back, introspective feel. Hitmaka produced five tracks, with Girl Talk, Kenneth Wright, I.D. Labs, and Sledgren rounding out the core production team; Scott Storch appears on "Something Real." THEY. contributes to two tracks, while Girl Talk performs on the opener "Big Daddy Wiz." A deluxe edition with three additional Kenneth Wright-produced tracks followed in October 2022.
