Data Insight

Hypnotic Eye was the final studio album by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, released in 2014 before Petty's death in 2017. Petty wrote all of the songs except the closing track 'Fault Lines,' which he co-wrote with Mike Campbell, and the album marked a deliberate return to the harder-edged rock of the band's earliest records. He produced it with Campbell and engineer Ryan Ulyate. The album debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200, the only Tom Petty album ever to do so, and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album.

The final Heartbreakers studio album, produced by Tom Petty. A return to a harder, driving rock sound after Mojo's blues focus.
