Conversation Peace is Stevie Wonder's twenty-second studio album, released in 1995 on Motown Records after an eight-year gap following Characters. The album arrived during a period when Wonder had been consumed by personal tragedy, the death of his father, health struggles, and the social upheaval following the 1992 Los Angeles riots, and its title reflects both a pun and a genuine plea for reconciliation. 'For Your Love' became the album's primary hit, and 'Tomorrow Robins Will Sing' brought an optimistic melodic grace to Wonder's late-career catalog. 'Stevie Ray Blues,' an instrumental tribute to guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, showed Wonder's continuing reverence for blues tradition. The album was entirely self-written and received warm reviews from critics who appreciated its sincerity, even if it didn't achieve the commercial profile of his classic-period work.
