It was her first album for Valory, the label founded by Scott Borchetta as a sister imprint to Big Machine, after decades on MCA Nashville. The record debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, the first chart-topping album of McEntire's career on the all-genre chart, and also led the Top Country Albums chart on first-week sales of 96,000 copies. McEntire produced the album with Tony Brown and Mark Bright, and as an interpreter she drew the thirteen songs from a deep bench of Nashville writers, taking a lone co-write on 'She's Turning 50 Today.' The lead single 'Strange' reached the country top fifteen, and the follow-up 'Consider Me Gone' spent four weeks at number one on Hot Country Songs, her first chart-topper since 2004 and one of the biggest hits of her career. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA.
