Data Insight

Testify was Phil Collins's last studio album of original material, and most of its songs are his own compositions, several co-written with longtime band member Daryl Stuermer. The lead single 'Can't Stop Loving You' is the album's one outright cover, a reworking of Leo Sayer's 1978 hit, which Collins said he was drawn to for its melody. Collins co-produced the record with Rob Cavallo, with Allen Sides engineering and mixing and Tom Lord-Alge mixing one track. Despite its largely self-written content, the album was a critical and commercial disappointment.

Testify is Phil Collins' seventh studio album, released November 11, 2002. It peaked at #2 in the UK. Co-produced with Rob Cavallo, it includes 11 Collins originals and one cover, 'Can't Stop Loving You' by Billy Nicholls. Collins co-wrote 'The Least You Can Do' with Daryl Stuermer.

Is Can't Stop Loving You a Phil Collins original?

What inspired the song Come with Me on Testify?
