Data Insight

Peso Pluma is the only credited writer on five of the twelve tracks and shares two more with Kevin Ramirez, "Los Pixeliados" and "18/02". One song, "La Pluma de Wax", belongs entirely to Tite Chavez, who has no other credit here. Four tracks carry no registered writer at all, and two of those, "Omnia" and "El Pengüin", are guest features, where a second writer would normally show up. Nobody is credited with producing any of it.

Peso Pluma released his first studio album on 20 April 2020 through El Cartel de los Ángeles, the small Jalisco label that had put out his live debut two months earlier. Twelve tracks run a little over 37 minutes, nine of them solo and three handed to guests from the same Guadalajara circuit. It charted nowhere and drew no certification in any territory. He was still an unknown singer working locally, two years away from the collaborations that made him famous.

Frequently Asked Questions Ah y Qué?

What was Peso Pluma's first album?
Ah y Qué?, released 20 April 2020 on El Cartel de los Ángeles. A live record, Disco en Vivo, came out two months before it, so this is his first studio album rather than his first release.
Did Ah y Qué? chart?
No. It missed every chart in the discography, including Spain, the Billboard 200, Top Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums.
Who wrote it?
Peso Pluma is the only writer on five tracks and shares two with Kevin Ramirez. Tite Chavez wrote "La Pluma de Wax". Four tracks have no writer on record.
Who produced it?
Unknown. No production credit for this album exists on MusicBrainz, Genius or Discogs.
Who guests on the album?
El Choforo on "Omnia", Jorge Morales El Jilguero on "El Pengüin" and Lalo Reyes on "Los Pixeliados".
How long is the album?
37:27 across twelve tracks.
Data note: Set to unverified because the writer credits rest on Genius alone. MusicBrainz returns an empty relations array on all twelve recordings and on the release itself, so there is no second source to check the writers against, and Discogs has no entry for this album at all. Four tracks have no writer anywhere: "Omnia" (4), "Pastaillas Pa Olvidar" (5), "El Pengüin" (8) and "Yo Ando Agusto" (10), whose Genius pages have been removed and now return a 404. No producer, engineer or mixer is credited on any track. Tite Chavez and Kevin Ramirez appear in lyricists only because no legal name is published for either, and Peso Pluma's own legal name comes from the MusicBrainz legal-name alias on his artist entry.
