Data Insight
Eighteen of the 20 tracks carry his name and twelve of those carry nobody else. Silkk the Shocker, Mia X and the rest of the No Limit roster fill the guest slots but rarely the credits. This is the album where the No Limit method is fully visible: one writer, a house band of producers, a release every few months.
Ice Cream Man came out on No Limit and Priority in April 1996 and is certified platinum. "Mr. Ice Cream Man" reached number 90 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was the record that made the label a national concern.
