Data Insight

Bitch is Lizzo's fifth studio album, released June 5, 2026 on her Nice Life imprint through Atlantic Records. Lizzo (credited under her legal name Melissa Jefferson) co-wrote the bulk of the record alongside longtime collaborator Eric Frederic (Ricky Reed), with additional writing and production from Blake Slatkin, Pop Wansel, Cheche Alara, and Cashmere Cat across the twelve tracks. The title track is a cover of Meredith Brooks' 1997 hit, carrying over the original writing credits to Brooks and Shelly Peiken, while lead single "Don't Make Me Love U" interpolates Bon Jovi's "You Give Love a Bad Name," which adds Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, and Desmond Child to its credits.

Bitch is Lizzo's fifth studio album, released 5 June 2026. The title track is a reimagining of Meredith Brooks' 1997 hit of the same name (written by Brooks and Shelly Peiken), making it the only track on the album not written by Lizzo. She serves as a credited co-producer on the majority of tracks alongside longtime collaborator Ricky Reed, a new and explicit production role not present on her earlier major-label releases. "Don't Make Me Love U" interpolates both the bassline from Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer" and the keyboard line from Tina Turner's "The Best," crediting five additional writers. "That Grrrl" draws on a Human League composition, crediting members Philip Oakey, Jo Callis, and Adrian Wright.
