Data Insight

Ice Cube wrote all his own raps across this comeback record, his first solo studio album in six years, while handing the boards to a deep roster of outside producers. Scott Storch produced the lead single 'Why We Thugs,' Lil Jon co-produced and guested on 'Go to Church,' and additional beats came from Swizz Beatz, DJ Green Lantern, Warren G, Emile, Hallway Productionz, and the Hitmen. Guests include Snoop Dogg, WC, Kokane, Lil Scrappy, and Fatman Scoop.

Ice Cube's seventh studio album, released June 6, 2006, his first in six years following an extended stretch of film and television work. The production roster is the most diverse of his career to that point, bringing in Scott Storch, Swizz Beatz, Lil Jon, Emile, DJ Green Lantern, Sean C, Bud'da, and Warren G. Ice Cube described his intent as making a record that "feels like a history book" while giving listeners something to enjoy. Guest appearances are limited to West Coast veterans Snoop Dogg and WC alongside Southern rapper Lil Jon. The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200.
