Seven Lives Many Faces Songwriting Credits by Enigma

Authorship on this record runs through one person almost entirely. Cretu wrote all twelve tracks alone or as lead writer, with sole credit on eight of them: Encounters, Seven Lives, Touchness, The Same Parents, Fata Morgana, Hell's Heaven, Deja Vu and The Language of Sound. The four co-writes split evenly between two collaborators. Margarita Roig, who sings on both, co-wrote the two Catalan-language tracks, La Puerta del Cielo and Between Generations. Andru Donalds co-wrote Distorted Love and Je t'aime Till My Dying Day, the two tracks where he takes the lead vocal outright. Nanuk holds a lyric credit on Je t'aime Till My Dying Day for the spoken narration only. What is absent matters as much: unlike MCMXC a.D. or The Cross of Changes, no released version of this album carries a sample credit to an outside copyright holder, so nothing here shifts authorship away from the four names on the sleeve. Cretu is credited on the release as Michael Cretu rather than as Curly M.C.
