David Guetta produces and co-writes throughout, working primarily with co-producer Frederic Riesterer (co-writer and producer on 'Memories' and others), Jean-Claude Sindres and Sandy Vee. The album is built around major guest vocalists who also co-write: Kelly Rowland on 'When Love Takes Over,' Akon on 'Sexy Bitch,' Kid Cudi (credited as Scott Mescudi) on 'Memories,' and Estelle on the title track 'One Love,' with further collaborators including will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Ne-Yo and Chris Willis. The 2010 reissue single 'Gettin' Over You' pulled in Fergie and LMFAO. This guest-vocalist-plus-Guetta-production model is the album's defining authorship structure.
The fourth studio album by David Guetta, released on 24 August 2009 through Virgin, EMI and Astralwerks, and the record that turned him into an international act. Guetta is credited as a writer and producer on all 15 tracks, with Frédéric Riesterer, Sandy Vee and Jean-Claude Sindres handling most of the additional production. The singing goes to guests as usual: Kelly Rowland, Akon, Kid Cudi, will.i.am, Ne-Yo, Estelle and Chris Willis, whose vocals here are his last on a Guetta album. Miriam and Olivia Nervo wrote the words to three tracks including 'When Love Takes Over,' which won the Grammy for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. The album has sold more than 3 million copies worldwide.
