Wind-up released the second album in September 1999 with John Kurzweg producing again, and it entered the Billboard 200 at number one on 315,000 copies in its first week, holding the top for two. 'Higher' reached number 7 on the Hot 100 and 'With Arms Wide Open' went all the way to number one, the only Creed single ever to do it. It is the only Creed album with no title track: the phrase surfaces instead in a line from 'Say I.' The RIAA certified it diamond in July 2001, and by 2014 it had sold more than 11.6 million copies in the US and roughly 20 million worldwide. Bassist Brian Marshall left the following August, making it the last record from the original lineup until they regrouped a decade later.
