Room Service grew out of Bryan Adams' touring life, with much of it captured in hotel rooms and backstage spaces while he criss-crossed Europe, then anchored by basic tracks cut at The Warehouse Studio in Vancouver. Adams produced the record himself and built most of it from outside collaborations, co-writing with Eliot Kennedy, Gretchen Peters and others rather than his longtime partner Mutt Lange, though Lange did contribute the song "Flying." Lead single "Open Road" set the tone as an easygoing rock track, and the album reached number one on the European Albums Chart and topped charts in Germany and Switzerland. It also gave Adams a number four placing in the UK.

Room Service is Bryan Adams's ninth studio album, released September 27, 2004 on Polydor Records. Produced entirely by Adams himself, the album features co-writing with Gretchen Peters, Eliot Kennedy, Mutt Lange, and Phil Thornalley, as well as production duo Chicane (track 1).
