Bryan Adams built most of 18 til I Die with longtime collaborator Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who co-wrote and co-produced eleven of its thirteen tracks, while Jim Vallance returned to co-write the album cut "I Think About You." The lead single "The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You" set the album's loud, hook-driven rock tone and reached number 5 on the UK Singles Chart. Several songs carried over the radio momentum of "Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?", the Don Juan DeMarco theme that closes the record after topping the US Billboard Hot 100. The title track and "Let's Make a Night to Remember" rounded out the singles run and helped push the album to number one in the UK.

18 til I Die is Bryan Adams's seventh studio album, released May 14, 1996 on A&M Records. Co-produced with Mutt Lange, the album is primarily co-written by Adams and Lange, with additional contributions from Michael Kamen and Gretchen Peters.
