Data Insight

Calvin Johnson produces all sixteen tracks, the only album in the catalogue handed wholly to an outside producer other than the Godrich records. The material is acoustic and unadorned, which makes this the direct ancestor of Sea Change and Morning Phase rather than of anything on Mellow Gold.

One Foot in the Grave is Beck's fourth album, released on 27 June 1994 through K Records, produced by Calvin Johnson. Sixteen mostly acoustic tracks recorded in Olympia, Washington, released the same year as Mellow Gold and Stereopathetic Soulmanure.
