By the Numbers
With Heaven on Top is Zach Bryan's authorship at its most complete since his self-released debuts: he wrote every one of the twenty-five tracks and produced the entire album himself, with no guest writers or features. After an album built on marquee collaborations, the credits return to a single name in the lyricist, composer, and producer columns throughout, a blockbuster made almost entirely alone.
With Heaven on Top is the sixth studio album by Zach Bryan, released in January 2026 and a return to fully self-contained songwriting after the star-studded Great American Bar Scene. Across twenty-five tracks and a spoken-word opener, he writes every song himself and self-produces the entire album, with no guest features, a deliberate move back to the solitary craft of his early records on a much larger scale. The arrangements are richer, drawing on a full band and strings, but the writing remains entirely his own. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and topped charts across several countries, confirming his consistency at the top. It is one of the purest recent examples of a major star writing and producing an entire blockbuster album alone.
