Data Insight
All 17 tracks carry his name and none carries only him. The title refers to his father, a Nazarene minister, and the record is the most autobiographical thing he had made. It sold nothing and the label deal did not survive it.
The Preacher's Son came out on Clef Records and J Records in November 2003, his first album away from Columbia. "Party to Damascus" with Missy Elliott reached number 65 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
