Missundaztood is the second studio album by Pink, released in November 2001 on LaFace Records / Arista Records and produced primarily by Linda Perry and Scott Storch. The album marked a dramatic artistic transformation, moving away from R&B toward a harder-edged pop-rock sound with confessional, emotionally raw lyrics that established Pink's enduring identity as an honest, rebellious voice. 'Get the Party Started,' 'Just Like a Pill,' and 'Don't Let Me Get Me' all became major international hits, helping the album sell over twelve million copies worldwide. Linda Perry's production gave the record a raw guitar-driven energy that distinguished it sharply from the polished pop dominating the charts at the time. Missundaztood is widely regarded as Pink's breakthrough masterpiece and one of the defining pop albums of the early 2000s.
