Can't Take Me Home is the debut studio album by Pink, released in April 2000 on LaFace Records / Arista Records and produced by Dallas Austin, Kevin 'She'kspere' Briggs, and Kandi Burruss. Recorded when Pink was just nineteen years old, the album drew heavily on the late-1990s R&B and neo-soul sound popularized by TLC and Destiny's Child. The singles 'There You Go' and 'Most Girls' both became top-ten hits, introducing Pink as a confident, sassy vocalist with strong commercial instincts. Although the album positioned her within an R&B framework that she would quickly abandon, its success gave her the platform to redefine herself on subsequent records. Can't Take Me Home sold over two million copies in the United States and served as the launching pad for one of pop music's most durable careers.
