Data Insight

Take Me Home again leaned on the Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub and Savan Kotecha team, who wrote and produced the lead single 'Live While We're Young' and 'Kiss You.' The album broadened its writing pool with Julian Bunetta and John Ryan, who would become central collaborators on later records, plus contributions from Shellback and Dr. Luke. Ed Sheeran returned with the ballad 'Little Things,' co-written with Fiona Bevan. The band members still wrote very little, leaving the record largely externally authored.

Take Me Home is the second studio album by One Direction, released on 9 November 2012 through Syco Records and Columbia Records. Recorded across sessions in London, Stockholm, and Los Angeles, it was again built entirely on the work of professional pop songwriters, including returning collaborators Savan Kotecha, Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub, and Steve Mac, alongside new contributors Julian Bunetta and John Ryan. The album debuted at number one in over 35 countries and became one of the fastest-selling albums of 2012. Lead single 'Live While We're Young' reached number three on the US Billboard Hot 100, extending the group's phenomenal commercial run. While the album maintained the same polished, stadium-pop formula as its predecessor, none of the five members were credited as writers on any of the standard edition tracks.
