By the Numbers
Authorship on the debut is one person almost all the way down. Junior H is the sole writer on seven of the nine tracks, which puts his stage name in the lyricist column and his legal name Antonio Herrera Pérez in the composer column across most of the record. Two songs, "No Eh Cambiado" and "Allá por Texas", carry no writer credit in any source that publishes one, so they are left empty rather than filled by inference. Nobody is named for production, mixing or mastering on any track, which matches a record built at home and uploaded without a label.
Mi Vida en un Cigarro is the debut album by Junior H, out in May 2019 when he was eighteen and recording on his own with no label behind him. Nine tracks run barely half an hour on solo guitar and a flat, unhurried vocal, and the opener "No Eh Cambiado" was the YouTube upload that pulled Rancho Humilde toward him later that year. The record entered no chart. Seven of the nine songs carry a writer credit and nothing on it names a producer, an engineer or a mixer.
