Eleven of the 15 tracks are his and five of those are his alone, a slightly smaller share than the debut but on a bigger record. Tim Kelley and Bob Robinson write two, Babyface two more. "They Don't Know", the biggest single of his career, he wrote by himself.
Cool Relax came out in September 1997, reached number 33 on the Billboard 200 and number five on the R&B chart, and is the only Jon B. album certified platinum. "They Don't Know" and "Are U Still Down" were issued together as a double A-side.
