Data Insight

All thirteen tracks are the brothers', but only four carry nobody else. The label paired them with Desmond Child, Mark Hudson, Ellen Shipley and Barry Mann, so the record that made them famous is also the one where the most outside hands are on the songs. Every album after it narrows.

Middle of Nowhere came out on Mercury in May 1997 and is certified four times platinum by the RIAA. "MMMBop" off it went to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and "I Will Come to You" reached number 9.
