Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is the fourth studio album by blink-182, released in June 2001 on MCA Records and produced by Jerry Finn. It was the band's commercial peak in terms of first-week sales, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 with 361,000 copies, and the album that most fully refined the Enema of the State formula. DeLonge, Hoppus, and Barker wrote all material; 'The Rock Show,' 'Stay Together for the Kids,' 'Roller Coaster,' and 'First Date' were the principal tracks, with the emotional range moving between the humor of 'Anthem Part II' and the genuine emotional distress of 'Stay Together for the Kids,' a track about parental divorce that addressed its subject with unusual directness for mainstream rock radio.
