He was a founding member of the TikTok collective the Hype House from 2019 to 2022 before turning to music. His 2024 single 'Burning Down' gave him a first Billboard Hot 100 entry, and 'Ordinary' followed in 2025 and topped the Hot 100 for ten weeks, spending a record sixteen non-consecutive weeks at number one on the Pop Airplay chart and thirteen weeks atop the UK Singles Chart. The album You'll Be Alright, Kid arrived in July 2025 as a double set, and he was nominated for Best New Artist at the 68th Grammy Awards.
