Data Insight

All Eyez on Me scales Tupac's authorship across a double album: he wrote every verse on all 27 tracks, sharing the lyricist column only with the long roster of Death Row and Outlawz guests, while the composer column belongs to the producers, chiefly Johnny J and Daz Dillinger, and the deep funk catalog they sampled. Even at its most star-stacked, the lyric credit stays anchored to him.

All Eyez on Me is the fourth studio album by Tupac Shakur, released in February 1996, his first after signing to Death Row Records following his release from prison. A sprawling double album and one of the first multi-disc hip-hop studio records, it trades the introspection of Me Against the World for glossy, defiant G-funk and gangsta-rap excess. Tupac wrote all of his own verses across its 27 tracks, while production came from the Death Row camp, chiefly Johnny J and Daz Dillinger, with Dr. Dre, DJ Quik, and others. The album produced the number-one hits 'California Love' and 'How Do U Want It,' and its guest list spans Snoop Doggy Dogg, Nate Dogg, the Outlawz, and Method Man and Redman. It was certified Diamond and remains one of the best-selling rap albums in history.
