Data Insight

This is the album where both credit systems run at once: seven tracks name Flowers and the members who wrote with him, five are credited to the Killers as a group. Daniel Lanois and Fran Healy of Travis appear as outside co-writers, the first time anyone from outside the band is credited on an original. Five producers is the other symptom of a record assembled rather than written in one go.

Battle Born is The Killers' fourth album, released in September 2012 on Island after a four-year break and a run of solo projects. Five producers worked on it, including Steve Lillywhite, Damian Taylor, Brendan O'Brien and Stuart Price. It reached number three on the Billboard 200 and number one in the UK.
