This is the album where both credit systems run at once: seven tracks name Flowers and the members who wrote with him, five are credited to the Killers as a group. Daniel Lanois and Fran Healy of Travis appear as outside co-writers, the first time anyone from outside the band is credited on an original. Five producers is the other symptom of a record assembled rather than written in one go.
Battle Born is The Killers' fourth album, released in September 2012 on Island after a four-year break and a run of solo projects.
