By the Numbers
A Japanese-language album that keeps Korean authorship: 3Racha hold the music credits and Bang Chan arranges all ten tracks, the only album in the catalogue where he takes every one. KM-Markit writes the Japanese lyrics on seven, so the split is unusually clean, with the melodies from Seoul and the words from Tokyo.
The Sound is Stray Kids' first Japanese studio album, released on 22 February 2023 through Epic Records Japan. Ten tracks, several of them Japanese versions of earlier Korean singles including 'Thunderous' and 'Case 143'. It reached number 1 in Japan.
