By the Numbers
The writing credit is one name on all ten tracks, which is the whole story of this record. Tony Berg co-produces eight and plays piano and guitar on two, but takes no writing credit, and neither does any of the session band. Sombr plays guitar throughout and covers bass, drums, keys and percussion on most tracks himself. Three of its singles reached the Hot 100 top 50, with “Back to Friends” peaking at 7.
I Barely Know Her is the debut studio album by Sombr, released on 22 August 2025 through SMB and Warner Records. Recorded through 2024 at Sound City Studios, its ten tracks run 37 minutes. He wrote every one of them alone and co-produced eight with Tony Berg. Three of its singles reached the top 50 of the Billboard Hot 100.
