Stars Dance is Selena Gomez's first solo album, and its writing leans heavily on outside teams rather than Gomez herself. The dance-pop and EDM productions came from The Cataracs, Rock Mafia, Stargate, Dreamlab, Jason Evigan and Toby Gad, with the lead single 'Come & Get It' written by Ester Dean and Stargate's Mikkel Eriksen and Tor Hermansen. Gomez does take co-writing credits on several deeper cuts, including 'Nobody Does It Like You,' 'Music Feels Better,' 'Lover in Me' and 'I Like It That Way,' so her hand is present but secondary to the producer-songwriter teams driving the singles.
