The Pussycat Dolls began in Los Angeles in 1995 as a neo-burlesque dance troupe founded by the choreographer Robin Antin. At Jimmy Iovine's suggestion the troupe was turned into a recording group, and it released two studio albums on A&M and Interscope: PCD in 2005 and Doll Domination in 2008. Nicole Scherzinger sang lead on almost everything. The group disbanded in 2010, reunited between 2019 and 2022, and reformed as a trio in 2026.
