By the Numbers
The credit splits cleanly: Ryan Ross writes the lyrics on thirteen of the fifteen tracks, Brendon Urie takes "I Have Friends in Holy Spaces" and "Folkin' Around", and the music goes to the band as a whole. It is the last album Ross wrote, and the only one where the music carries no individual name at all.
Pretty. Odd. came out in March 2008 and dropped the exclamation mark from the band's name along with almost everything else about the debut's sound. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 with 139,000 copies in its first week.
